MDRS serves through four major programs: Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), Vocational Rehabilitation for the Blind (VRB), Office of Special Disability Programs (OSDP), and Disability Determination Services (DDS). Services also include support through Assistive Technology, the Office of Business Development and much more. Creating sales invoices for job trainer payrolls Setting up debit cards for new job trainers Entering job trainers in accounting system E-Verify online and MS New Hire online Handling AbilityWorks Finance Director phone calls and routing to appropriate person Reviewing time clock entries for AW Finance Director before approval Producing AW wage reimbursement spreadsheets and invoices in accounting system Reviewing payment journals before approval Coordinating the ordering and serving of AW Board meeting lunches Functioning as back up staff for A/P and A/R coordinators Opening mail, cash receipt logs, and mailing vendor payments Other duties as assigned This Non-State, Time-Limited (14) position is available in the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services’ Finance Division. Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 1-3 years of experience. Agency Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma (or equivalent), with 1-3 years of experience, and a general knowledge of computers and other computer-type equipment used in the course of daily business practices. Experience with payables and receivables, as well familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word, is a plus. Address
