Overview
Senior Accountant to join our team, supporting our client in Norfolk, VA. This position requires a mix of on-site presence at Naval Station Norfolk and remote work, currently structured as two days on-site and three days remote. Due to the nature of the role, only U.S. Citizens may be considered. Responsibilities
Apply Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) standards: • Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Concepts (SFFAC) • Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS) Apply Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Adhere to the Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR) Perform advanced accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations Analyze financial data and prepare accurate financial reports Support the development and maintenance of financial policies and procedures Provide strong written and verbal communication to effectively convey financial information to stakeholders Utilize Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for financial analysis and reporting Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of accounting experience Proven understanding and practical application of FASAB, FASB GAAP, and DoD FMR Strong proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Required) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (Required) Licenses
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Required) CDFM, CGFM, CIA, and/or CISA (Preferred) Job Details
