This range is provided by Arch Capital Group Ltd. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Base pay range : $110,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr This is a hybrid role based in Farmington, CT, with in-office collaboration every Wednesday. For exceptional candidates, a fully remote arrangement anywhere in the U.S. may be considered, with a strong preference for East Coast locations. What You’ll Do

Operationalize Data Governance: Embed best practices into project workflows and daily work within the Data Governance and Data Management framework. Consult on Projects: Partner with cross-functional project teams to ensure alignment with enterprise data governance standards. Governance Technologies: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of data catalog, MDM/RDM, and data quality tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica Axon). Drive Metadata Excellence: Maintain accurate and accessible metadata across systems. Enable Reference Data Standardization: Support harmonization of reference data across the enterprise. Job Responsibilities

Project Alignment & Consultation: Ensure alignment with Arch’s Data Governance and Data Management framework; provide guidance on data standards, policies, and best practices; review deliverables for governance compliance. Operationalize Governance Framework: Roll out governance processes across business units and embed governance into daily operations and project workflows; maintain governance documentation. Technology Platform Support: Assist in implementing, configuring, and maintaining data catalog platforms, MDM/RDM platforms, and data quality platforms; monitor usage and provide user onboarding and training. Metadata Management: Collaborate with data stewards to capture and maintain metadata; ensure metadata is accurate and accessible via the data catalog; support enrichment and classification efforts. Reference Data Standardization: Conduct data and business analysis to support harmonization; identify inconsistencies and implement standard reference data values. Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand data needs; facilitate communication between governance, IT, and business teams; promote adoption of governance tools and practices. Required Skills and Qualifications

Metadata Management: Understanding of metadata concepts and experience with data cataloging Data Governance Tools: Familiarity with MDM/RDM, data quality, and governance workflows Business Analysis: Translate business requirements into metadata for governance tools and data management initiatives Data Analysis: Identify data inconsistencies, gaps, and standardization opportunities SQL or Querying Skills: Ability to query data for validation and analysis Data Modeling Concepts: Understanding of data structures and reference data domains Governance & Compliance Knowledge; Data Governance Frameworks MDM/RDM Principles; Data Quality Management Regulatory Awareness: GDPR, CCPA familiarity Tool Proficiency: Data catalog platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica Axon, Alation); data quality platforms; reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI); Office 365, Confluence, Visio/Lucid Detail-Oriented; Problem-Solving; Adaptability Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field (preferred) Minimum 2 years in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Quality, MDM, and Data Stewardship principles (preferred) Minimum 5 years applying technical and business skills to perform data analysis and translate requirements into metadata and reference data Minimum 5 years in Insurance and/or Reinsurance industry Experience with cloud-based applications and IT security concepts For individuals assigned to the indicated location(s): base salary range is shown. Position is incentive eligible. Total compensation will consider location, scope, qualifications, and business needs.
