Overview
Role: Controller to oversee all aspects of accounting, compliance, and team leadership for a growing multi-location restaurant group. This role manages a team of accountants and accounts payable, ensuring financial reporting integrity, regulatory adherence, internal controls, and process standardization across multiple locations. The ideal candidate brings proven restaurant accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, restaurant industry-specific know-how, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA required 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 3 years as a Controller or Director of Accounting Prior experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry required (multi-unit preferred). Public accounting experience is a plus Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls Experience with POS, R365 or like accounting systems, and ADP or similar payroll platforms Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with the ability to handle high-pressure situations Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Strong organizational, problem-solving and time-management skills with the ability to multitask effectively Candidates must be based in the Houston area with the ability to work in the office 4 days per week, and full-time on-site as business needs require.
