Senior Finance Manager, FP&A
to join our Finance team and play a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management. Role Overview The
Senior Finance Manager, FP&A
will be responsible for leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for Makeup by Mario. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role will partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to provide financial insights that drive decision-making, profitability, and growth. You will bring both strong technical finance skills and a commercial mindset, helping the organization balance artistry, growth, and profitability. Key Responsibilities Manage the annual operating plan, long-range plan, and rolling forecast processes. Develop detailed sales, gross margin, and operating expense models across channels (wholesale, retail, e-commerce, international). Partner with Sales teams on trade spend, promotional effectiveness, and ROI. Management Reporting & Analysis Lead monthly financial reviews including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and management reporting packages. Monitor and analyze sell-in vs. sell-through trends, retailer performance, and category growth drivers. Provide insights on gross margin and cost of goods impacts, including pricing, discounts, and freight/storage costs. Business Partnering Support Sales with budgeting and post-campaign analysis. Provide financial input into new product launches, retail expansion, and international growth strategies. Process & Tools Enhance FP&A processes, reporting cadence, and systems to improve accuracy and efficiency. Drive automation and scalability of models to support rapid business growth. Mentor and guide junior team members as the Finance function scales. Qualifications 7–10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3+ years in FP&A; prior experience in beauty, consumer goods, or retail strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus. Strong understanding of P&L drivers, retail dynamics, and gross margin management. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP/BI systems (NetSuite, Power BI, Anaplan, or similar). Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and non-finance partners.
