Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our client’s motivated and independent team. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial operations and delivering reliable financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles, the ability to manage multiple clients effectively, and the skills to build and maintain strong client relationships. Responsibilities Financial Management and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) with accuracy and timeliness. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for clients to improve their financial position. Manage account reconciliations and ensure records are precise, with discrepancies resolved promptly. Monitor and analyze expenses, ensuring adherence to budgets and providing cost-saving recommendations. Support the development of financial reports for strategic decision-making. Audit Support: Assist in preparing for external audits by providing documentation and explanations. Collaborate with clients and auditors to address findings and ensure regulatory compliance. Tax Planning and Compliance: Prepare and review tax returns in line with local, state, and federal regulations. Stay informed about changes in tax laws to provide accurate advice. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding business needs and delivering timely, accurate accounting services. Document financial transactions and client interactions, and respond promptly to inquiries with a focus on excellent client service. Collaboration, Supervision and Training: Work with cross-functional teams to support client services and acquisition efforts. Mentor junior accountants, review work for accuracy and compliance, and foster a collaborative environment. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with GAAP and relevant regulations; implement updates to maintain high standards of compliance and integrity. Industry, Software and Technology Proficiency: Use accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Slack, Google Workspace, Monday.com, Tax Dome, ProConnect, Zoom) to streamline processes. Engage in ongoing learning to stay current with industry best practices and accounting standards.
