sports and entertainment industry , headquartered in Anaheim, who is looking to hire a
Senior Accountant
to support the continued growth and complexity of their finance function.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to step into a key role with a well-known organization at the intersection of live events, media, and fan engagement. You'll be working in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment where your attention to detail and financial accuracy will directly support the team's success.
About the Role: Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will take ownership of core accounting processes and contribute to accurate financial reporting across the business. This is a broad, hands-on role well suited to someone who enjoys variety and is looking to grow within a collaborative and high-performing finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, GL reconciliations, and month-end close
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and internal reports
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with the broader finance team
Partner with FP&A and business operations teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data
Assist in the preparation for external audits and compliance reporting
Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting systems
Mentor junior staff or assist in training as needed
What We're Looking For:
2–6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in entertainment, sports, media, or related industries
CPA or actively pursuing is preferred
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
Proven experience with month-end close and preparation of financial statements
Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft D365
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communicator with a team-first mindset
