Overview
The Accounting Analyst is a key member of the Corporate Controlling team, reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager. This role focuses on enhancing internal controls and compliance related to revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory, and intercompany processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate transaction flows, explain variances in business terms, and support management decision-making. Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze revenue-related reporting and adjustments. Review and manage commission accruals and clearings. Maintain controls over customer rebate accounts. Analyze sales returns and maintain reserves. Support COGS-related reporting and audit requirements. Assist with physical inventory counts and related reporting. Provide ad hoc inventory support as needed. Manage intercompany chargebacks and netting transactions. Perform intercompany balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Post and reconcile intercompany intellectual property, investment, loan, and interest transactions. Support month-end close activities for non-manufacturing international entities. Contribute to special projects related to intercompany activities. Maintain up-to-date process documentation in OneNote. Complete account reconciliations using OneStream. Investigate and resolve variances in reconciliations. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company policies and US GAAP. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA or MBA preferred). Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience. Solid understanding of intercompany and manufacturing accounting processes (chemical industry experience is a plus). Experience with SAP is strongly preferred.
