We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Revenue Analyst with over 4 years of revenue experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ASC 606 revenue recognition, contract review, financial analysis, and data management, with a proven ability to analyze complex data sets and communicate insights effectively. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, sales, and operations, to drive accurate financial statements. Key Responsibilities
Manage month-end and year-end close activities related to revenue: prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and deferred revenue schedules; analyze revenue trends and performance. Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards: ASC 606 and ASC 944, as well as GAAP and IFRS. Review and analyze complex sales agreements and contracts to evaluate revenue implications and ensure compliance with company policy and revenue recognition standards. Collaborate with other departments (sales, legal, finance) to ensure accuracy and resolve revenue-related issues. Assist with external audits: prepare audit schedules and respond to inquiries regarding revenue recognition practices. Identify and implement process improvements: develop and maintain procedures for revenue accounting activities and explore automation solutions. Provide guidance to junior staff; supervise and train junior accounting personnel as needed. Generate and analyze reports, including monthly financial reports detailing sales, receivables, deferred revenues, and related accounts. Participate in special projects such as system implementations, enhancements, or ad-hoc analyses. Own manual billing processes arising from client-specific requirements, quantity-based billing, and complex billing structures; map client accounts, billing groups, and fees for timely invoicing. Analyze billing data, understand system limitations, and generate reporting updates for management and stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus. 7+ years of experience in revenue, billing, financial analysis, or related field; at least 4 years in Revenue Accounting within financial services or technology. Strong knowledge of ASC 606; deep understanding of accounting principles and GAAP/IFRS. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and also independently; strong communication skills for presenting data insights. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Technical skills: proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP), familiarity with revenue recognition software, and advanced Excel. Experience analyzing financial data, identifying discrepancies, and resolving complex revenue recognition issues. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high transaction volumes and strict deadlines. What We Offer
