Family Office Controller (Salary Range: $100K-$150K plus bonus) LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Family Office Controller for a multi-generational family office in the Dallas, TX area, serving clients with investments in oil & gas partnerships, private equity, and public securities. This role involves overseeing all financial, accounting, tax, and operational aspects of the office to ensure smooth day-to-day management. Responsibilities
Oversee full accounting operations, month-end and year-end close, and preparation of consolidated financial statements across multiple entities. Manage accounting and reporting for oil & gas royalties, land interests, private equity, and public investments, including tracking distributions, lease payments, and capital calls. Prepare and review tax filings for partnerships, trusts, and individuals, coordinating with external advisors as needed, and manage estimated tax calculations for family members. Forecast cash flow, maintain banking relationships, and ensure liquidity for investments, distributions, and office operations. Supervise and mentor accounting and administrative staff while overseeing HR, insurance, vendor management, and overall office operations. Implement process improvements and maintain internal controls to ensure operational efficiency. Communicate financial insights and updates clearly to family leadership and advisors, maintaining strict confidentiality. Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally with exposure to family office operations and investment oversight. Strong understanding of GAAP, partnership accounting, and tax compliance. Proven experience managing staff, cash flow, and insurance matters. Details
