Our client in the transportation industry is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Billing Analyst to join their finance operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and has a strong aptitude for identifying discrepancies in complex billing data. The Billing Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of airport-related invoicing processes. Responsibilities
Invoice Analysis (50%). Review and compare billing data against operational statistics. Conduct in-depth research to validate charges and ensure accurate billing across multiple location invoices. Identify and resolve discrepancies prior to month-end close. Invoice Processing and Approval (50%). Manage the weekly approval cycle for 40–50 invoices, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Collaborate with external contacts and internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues and confirm invoice accuracy. Maintain a consistent workflow, with higher volume during the first three weeks of each month and a review-focused fourth week. Qualifications
Proven experience as a Billing Analyst or in a similar finance or billing role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas such as SUM/IF; familiarity with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables is a plus. Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying variances in financial data. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with external partners. Experience with Anaplan or similar invoicing platforms is a plus. Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful Billing Analyst will be highly organized, meticulous, and comfortable working with large volumes of data. They should be proactive in resolving issues and capable of navigating multi-step processes with precision.
