Staff Accountant
Schedule:
Training on-site Monday–Friday for the first month, then transition to hybrid once working independently. 6 Month contract with possibility to extend or convert full time.
Base pay range:
$34.00/hr - $36.00/hr
About the Role We are seeking a proactive
Staff Accountant
with strong accounting fundamentals and intercompany experience. This role requires someone who can quickly adapt, take initiative, and work independently with minimal training. It’s an excellent opportunity to grow within a multinational organization while contributing directly to accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements.
Top Required Skills
3–5 years of accounting experience
Strong background in journal entries and query resolution
Intercompany accounting experience is a must
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proactive, detail-oriented, and strong problem-solving mindset
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process journal entries with proper documentation
Perform and maintain balance sheet reconciliations in line with corporate requirements
Investigate and clear reconciling items in a timely manner
Validate subledger reports (RNV, sales orders, purchase orders)
Manage month-end close procedures under tight deadlines
Prepare accurate financial statements and supporting schedules
Partner with Operations to provide financial insights supporting management decisions
Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects
Assist with statutory and tax audits, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX
Document and monitor internal controls
Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance
CPA preferred but not required
3–5 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX reporting
Experience with process automation and efficiency improvements a plus
