Overview
Interim Construction Controller role at Creative Financial Staffing (CFS). This is a newly created position reporting to the CFO, overseeing all accounting and finance functions to ensure financial accuracy, optimize cost management, and drive strategic initiatives. Base pay range
$100,000.00/yr - $108,000.00/yr $48.00 - $52.00 per hour Responsibilities
Lead the accounting and finance department, overseeing general ledger management, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and budgeting. Establish financial and operational benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards to support business growth and expansion. Develop and implement job costing processes to enhance financial tracking and project profitability. Conduct cost control reviews and implement strategies to optimize project financial performance. Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and provide strategic insights to senior leadership as the Interim Construction Controller. Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, budgets, and expenditures to ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting. Oversee the preparation of forecasts, project budgets, and financial planning reports. Manage, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff to enhance team performance and efficiency. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and internal controls to maintain financial integrity and transparency. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in a mid-to-senior financial leadership role. Proven track record as an Interim Construction Controller or similar financial leadership position in the construction or contracting industry. Strong experience in financial project management, with expertise in streamlining accounting processes. Demonstrated ability to develop cost controls and financial tracking for large-scale projects. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a finance team. Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, and financial modeling. Sage 100 is preferred for ERP-based financial management and reporting. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Job details
