Alba Wheels Up International is looking for a highly motivated individual with a talent for new customer engagement to become its Sales Development Representative (SDR). The SDR will play a critical role in driving company growth through lead generation by identifying, qualifying and booking meetings with high-potential prospects.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and driven individual who is goal-oriented, methodical, tenacious, and can effectively interact with a team.
Key Responsibilities
Create and qualify target lists of new prospects by deep market research and analysis
‘Clean’ target lists to the extent possible, removing existing customers, duplicate records, out-of-bound geographies, and other disqualifying characteristics
Collaborate closely with BD team to align prospecting efforts with growth strategies
Input target lists and document all interactions or efforts to CRM
Achieve daily outbound activity targets and KPI’s , as determined by supervisor and reporting as necessary
Pursue target prospects via all available communication channels, ask clarifying questions to assess fit
Network within target companies to reach the right decision-makers
Overcome common objections to advance conversations
Vet inbound leads received from Alba marketing efforts
Contact past Alba customers to revive business relationships
Pass qualified leads to the appropriate sales team for follow-up
Book and schedule first meetings for the BD team, ensuring prospects and meetings are well-qualified and prepared for initial discussion by asking clarifying questions.
Participate in first meetings booked with BD to initiate the handoff and learn about the selling process.
Take notes during initial meeting for high level overview reporting in CRM
Collaborate effectively with Sales and marketing
Provide feedback to colleagues and leadership to improve processes and messaging role by gathering and relaying feedback from activities to highlight trends.
Learn Alba’s growing portfolio of products and services
Compose succinct, effective emails and other outbound communications
Deliver relevant information and events invite to prospects to nurture the relationship and increase conversion rates
Requirements
1 to 2 years’ experience in Sales, Customer Service, lead generation or similar client facing role, preferably in freight forwarding and customs brokerage
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
Comfort using the telephone as primary means of outreach
Highly organized and able to multitask efficiently
Entrepreneurial and results-oriented mindset
Desire to achieve sales objectives and targets
Persistent, self-disciplined, and confident
Energetic, eager to learn and coachable with a desire to advance career
Proficient in MS Office and email systems
Knowledge of CRM and Marketing Automation tools is a plus
Ability to work well in fast-paced environment and pivot focus quickly
Creatively problem-solve and overcome objective challenges
Comfortable and disciplined to work independently while collaborating with the larger team
