About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with a law firm that is expanding its Intellectual Property (IP) practice. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated and experienced paralegal looking to join a dynamic and growing department where adaptability and initiative are key.

Job Description:

The IP Paralegal will work closely with attorneys across multiple departments to support a broad range of intellectual property matters. This includes both U.S. and international patent and trademark services, as well as supporting legal procedures, filings, and documentation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable navigating evolving processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft and file U.S. and foreign patent documents, including provisional and non-provisional applications

Maintain and monitor IP docketing systems to ensure all deadlines are met

Review and manage IP filings, responses, and legal formalities

Assist attorneys in IP litigation, enforcement, and portfolio management

Analyze IP reports and documentation for completeness and accuracy

Conduct legal research and summarize findings in written memoranda

Prepare due diligence materials for corporate transactions

Collaborate with attorneys and staff across practice areas

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and Paralegal Certificate required

Minimum 5 years of experience in IP law, including patent prosecution

Experience with U.S. and international IP filings and procedures

Strong understanding of USPTO processes and deadlines

Proficiency in docketing software (e.g., CPI)
