Overview
Job Title: SAP QM Functional Architect
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
15+ years of hands-on experience in SAP QM with at least 2 full-cycle S/4HANA implementations.
Strong expertise in configuring SAP QM processes: quality inspection, batch management, calibration, in-process inspection, and complaint handling.
Proven knowledge and practical experience with SAP GBT (Global Batch Traceability) and BRH (Batch Release Hub).
Solid understanding of integration between QM and modules such as MM, PP, SD, and EWM.
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Chemicals, Food & Beverage).
Strong technical troubleshooting and solution design skills.
Ability to work closely with business stakeholders, manage expectations, and provide high-quality deliverables.
Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP QM in an S/4HANA environment.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP QM solutions.
Configure and support key QM processes including inspection planning, results recording, defect management, quality notifications, batch management, and quality certificates.
Integrate SAP QM with GBT and BRH applications, ensuring seamless data and process flows for batch traceability and release management.
Partner with other SAP functional teams (MM, PP, SD, EWM, etc.) to ensure smooth cross-module integration.
Provide technical guidance and resolve issues during implementation, testing, and go-live support.
Lead workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities with business users and junior consultants.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance practices.
Support cutover planning, data migration, and post-go-live stabilization.
