This Position reports to: Applications Engineering Manager As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is onsite/hybrid in Cleveland, OH. Please note that no relocation assistance or stipend will be offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location. You will be mainly accountable for: Work with an engineering team to assist with various aspects of our control systems projects for customers. Hardware and software design and testing. Use computer programs to perform various engineering operations. Conduct analyses and provide related data and information. Motivated to troubleshoot and research solutions during the duration while working on projects. Attend training sessions both in person and on the job. Ability to work a hybrid work schedule – both in the Cleveland office and remote from Cleveland. Qualifications for the role: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in electrical engineering, chemical engineering, computer engineering, or mechanical engineering in the United States. Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future. Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions. Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Exhibit the capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high standards of quality. Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
