Description of Work Unit: CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DoD) and other public lands. Position Summary: A GIS Technician-Records Curator position is available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML). This position is responsible for providing GIS, record keeping and curation support to the US Army Garrison Hawaii (USAG-HI) Directorate of Public Works GIS file management database and intranet site. The GIS Technician-Records Curator will manage the DPW’s drawing management system, respond to requests for drawings/maps, and maintain user access accounts. Required Job Qualifications: A High school Diploma, General Education Development (GED), or equivalent. Experience with records management of drawings and geospatial/CAD files or similar relevant experience. Candidates are required at a minimum to complete a NACI/SF85 and successfully pass a federal background check to remain eligible for employment by CSU. Must be able to comply with all applicable regulations to obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) and public trust clearance. Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license by the employment start date. Preferred Job Qualifications: Experience with data and file management. Experience working with as-built drawings. Knowledge of Army GIS and IT directives, guidance, regulations and processes. Experience working in highly structured organizations. Knowledge/experience of hardware and software maintenance for Windows systems. Experience working with software applications such as Bentley ProjectWise. Experience working with ESRI ArcGIS software or similar applications. Essential Duties: Job Duty Category: GIS records program support Manage the DPW’s drawing management system. Respond to requests for drawings/maps and maintain GIS user access accounts. Provide Share drive support services. Job Duty Category: Environmental IT support Support all Environmental IT requirements. Job Duty Category: Project management Summarize monthly work tasks into monthly progress report. Job Duty Category: Administration Submit leave requests/reports and track training/certification requirements.
