Overview

The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer is a pivotal member of the IT team, responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure services across global enterprise environments. This role requires deep expertise in Linux and Windows server administration, advanced virtualization (VMware), enterprise storage, basic network infrastructure knowledge, and disaster recovery planning. The engineer will collaborate with global IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure highly available and compliant infrastructure aligned with corporate and security standards. Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage Linux and Windows Server environments, ensuring security, performance, and reliability Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Oracle Linux servers, including patching and troubleshooting Architect and administer VMware vSphere infrastructure (vCenter, ESXi, HA/DRS, vSAN) Engineer and manage enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS), including provisioning, zoning, replication, snapshots, tiering, and performance tuning Administer and support enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam), including offsite replication and recovery testing Basic networking knowledge (L2/L3 switching, VLANs, subnetting, routing, spanning tree) Configure and troubleshoot Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, including SD-WAN, IPsec VPNs, NAT, security profiles Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis for servers, storage, and networks Perform regular system patching, firmware updates, and vulnerability remediation Maintain infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and change control Senior escalation point for complex L2/L3 infrastructure incidents, coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams Lifecycle management of datacenter assets from provisioning to decommissioning Participate in IT projects and lead infrastructure-related workstreams across multiple sites Education And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Certifications in relevant areas preferred (Microsoft Azure, VMware VCP-DCV, CCNE/CCNP, RHCE, VMCE) Experience

10+ years of progressive enterprise infrastructure experience, including hands-on management of Azure workloads Advanced Linux system administration with shell scripting, system, file systems, performance tuning, SELinux Experience with VMware vSphere/vCenter 7.x/8.x, vSAN, HA, DRS, VM lifecycle Enterprise SAN/NAS experience (e.g., Dell PowerStore) Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange Online, Intune, Azure AD Experience with backup/DR solutions (Veeam) Scripting with Bash, PowerShell, or Python Familiarity with Citrix virtual apps/desktops (a plus) Strong troubleshooting and documentation, communication, collaboration Ability to design scalable infrastructure architectures, including hybrid on-prem/cloud Location and Schedule

Location: Milwaukee, WI We believe in in-office collaboration; schedule currently Tue-Thu in the office, with upcoming transition to Mon-Thu with Fri optional work-from-home. Dress code: Business Casual. EEO Statement
