Lead CNC Machinist and Programmer
to help us expand capacity and take our shop to the next level. If you’re highly skilled, independent, and want to see the direct impact of your work, you’ll thrive here. What You’ll Do Program, set up, and run complex CNC milling and turning jobs (3-, 4-, and 5-axis). Work primarily on
prototype and low-volume parts
that require creativity and precision. Select tooling, design fixtures, and develop efficient machining strategies. Inspect parts to tight aerospace-level tolerances and adjust processes to achieve first-article success. Mentor and support junior machinists and help them grow their skills. Contribute to continuous improvement and shop efficiency. What We’re Looking For Expert-level CNC machining skills
with the ability to work from drawing/CAD to finished part. Tight-tolerance machining experience is required ; aerospace background strongly preferred. Strong CAM programming skills in any major platform (NX, Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, etc.).
Siemens NX is a plus but not required. Confidence in fixturing, tooling, speeds/feeds, and prototype problem-solving. Solid understanding of quality standards and inspection practices. Self-directed, organized, and collaborative. Why Join Island Machine Pay:
