Overview

Rincon Research Corporation (RRC) is seeking a talented, tenacious, results-driven Network Systems Administrator to lead deployment, maintenance, and ongoing operations of our network infrastructure. This role involves working with IT function leads, program managers, customers, and telecommunications vendors to ensure connectivity, performance, and continual network capability improvements. RRC is an employee-owned company focused on innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing (DSP) products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security. Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr Primary responsibilities

Build, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve the network’s operations across Rincon and the customer systems we support. Execute and manage monthly operations cycles, monitoring, maintenance, compliance, and optimization of networking infrastructure. Proactively plan and execute network upgrades, capacity improvements, and technology evolutions. Implement system-level security controls and perform day-to-day security operations of the network. Create and maintain documentation, including user guides, knowledge base articles, change requests, and system maintenance records. Establish and maintain standards of network administration and development practices, such as technical design, solution development, systems configuration, and operations procedures. Monitor, manage, and report on information system performance, security, availability, and recoverability. Collaborate across other IT functions (Infrastructure, Security, Windows, Linux, Service Desk) and external vendors for issue resolution. Required background

Active TS/SCI + Poly Security Clearance US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED Certifications

Requires security certification in compliance with DoD 8570 within 90 days of hire Requires professional certification in one or more areas within 6 months of hire (e.g., CCNA, AWS Associate, or role-relevant Windows or Linux certifications) Education and experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related discipline, or substitution with 5+ years of experience Preferred skills

Enterprise-level campus and data center network design and optimization Experience with Cisco, Arista, VPN hardware; air-gapped environments and segmented networks Experience building, monitoring, and optimizing VPN topologies (Full Mesh, Point-to-Point, Hub and Spoke) across locations Configuration and troubleshooting of SD-WAN, Multicast, VLANs, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, Spanning Tree, and related protocols Network performance monitoring (latency, bandwidth, packet loss) and collaboration with partners Documentation of network infrastructure and baselines; asset lifecycle management and IPAM Security baseline implementation and compliance Automation of network deployment and day-to-day tasks using configuration management and CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitLab) Scripting or programming experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Go) Experience with Ansible or Puppet Linux-based systems administration (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky) Location
