Job overview

If you have highly effective admin and organisational skills, there is an opportunity to join the Radiology Team as a Booking Clerk supporting the Booking Teams for 37.5 hours per week. This role is also the central point of communication for other hospital departments, GPs and outside agencies so we are looking for an individual who has the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients and medical teams. Duties include making and taking telephone calls which may need escalating appropriately, booking appointments and general enquiries. Previous admin experience is essential together with excellent computer skills with medical terminology and as we are a busy department the ability to "think on your feet" and remain calm would be an asset. This is a busy role which will involve multi-tasking with ever-changing priorities and working autonomously and without direct supervision. Qualifications

Educated to GCSE level including English and Maths Knowledge

Knowledge of good office and administration practice Able to learn medical terminology A knowledge of hospital systems i.e. Millennium and Soliton Experience
