Play a key role in the month-end and year-end close processes Own GL maintenance, account reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries Partner with Finance and other departments to ensure financial information tells the full story by addressing and resolving accounting inquiries Supervise a team of accountants – coach, support, and develop their growth Analyze expense accounts, proactively identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization Identify ways to automate, optimize, and improve financial operations Coordinate with auditors and internal staff during financial statement and overhead audits Support acquisition due diligence, data consolidation and integration activities, as needed The Background That Fits
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in medium to large corporate environments At least 2 years of leadership and people management experience Solid understanding of US GAAP and internal controls Tech-savvy with Excel, ERP systems, BI analytics, and workflow automation Prior experience in the A/E/C industry preferred; FAR/CAS accounting experience a plus Seniority level
