Assistant Principal of High School Online Learning
within the BVA (Brandywine Virtual Academy) division. The Assistant Principal collaborates with and supports the Principal in leading virtual education initiatives for grades 9-12, ensuring excellence in online instruction and student support while implementing the organization's mission to provide flexible, customized learning solutions for high school students. The position combines educational leadership, technological expertise, and operational management to support engaging, standards-aligned online learning experiences that prepare students for post-secondary success. The role also leads the implementation of several programs at the high school level, including the Guided Study Program, Driver’s Education, and the Wellness Check-In Service.
Essential Duties and Program/Budget Responsibilities
Oversee and track direct and indirect budgets, including Driver’s Education, in collaboration with leadership and finance teams.
Implement research-based frameworks and ensure compliance with quality standards, UDL principles, and MTSS.
Analyze student performance and learning data to drive program improvements and personalized learning pathways.
Develop, enhance, and monitor high school courses, including college prep, honors, AP, credit recovery, and CTE programs.
Implement and monitor competency-based progression models and manage course placements.
Conduct teacher evaluations and provide actionable feedback for professional growth.
Lead student support services, including Guided Study, interventions, test prep, credit tracking, and social-emotional programs.
Ensure smooth daily operations of virtual learning, including IT coordination, course assignments, and discipline procedures.
Design and facilitate professional development programs and learning communities for faculty.
Maintain stakeholder and partner engagement, monitor performance, and coordinate events to support student success.
Oversee the Guided Study program, providing academic, organizational, and executive functioning support for students.
Lead Driver’s Education program operations, curriculum, virtual/on-site instruction, student safety, and program evaluation.
Execute marketing and engagement campaigns to promote enrollment and program awareness.
Ensure compliance with state, district, dual enrollment, NCAA, IEP, and 504 standards.
Conduct course quality assessments, generate data-informed reports, and implement continuous program improvements.
Qualifications
Masters’s degree in education, educational leadership, or a related field.
Experience with change management and innovation in educational settings.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in data analysis, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement.
Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.
Possesses proven experience in secondary education administration and program management.
Strong background in technology integration, SIS/LMS management, and virtual learning operations.
K-12 Pennsylvania Principal’s certificate.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in K-12 education, online learning, or operational management. - Preferred
Knowledge of Pennsylvania educational regulations and district operations. - Preferred
Familiarity with digital marketing and partner engagement strategies. - Preferred
Proficiency with data visualization and analytics tools. - Preferred
Experience in student support services, family engagement, or district partnership management. - Preferred
Experience managing Driver’s Education programming. - Preferred
Salary Salary Range: Administrators, Level G 2025-26 school year: $101,857 - $127,321
Placement on band is based on years of direct experience in a comparable role. This is a 260-day position, 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week. AA
