Job Title: Assistant Professor of Violin, 9 Month Salaried – College of Music Location: Tallahassee, FL Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Full-Time Job ID: 61066 Department: The Strings area at the Florida State University College of Music invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Violin, a 9-month faculty member at the tenure-earning rank of Assistant Professor. Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate-level violin students. Recruit and maintain a successful teaching studio. Serve on doctoral and master’s committees and juries. Maintain a professional career as a performing artist. Participate in university and professional service activities nationally and internationally as appropriate. Additional responsibilities may include coaching chamber music and teaching courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Qualifications

Hold a doctoral degree or demonstrate a record of equivalent performance and teaching experience. Hold a record of successful university-level studio teaching experience and proven artistry as a professional performer. Demonstrate strong commitment to the recruitment of outstanding students. Demonstrate a proven commitment to creating an environment which contributes to the vibrancy and economy of the university community and engages students. Other Information
