Patrol designated HonorHealth properties and monitor for safety hazards and suspicious activity; investigate and report hazards to leadership. Manage ingress flow through weapons detection systems; maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor. Identify threats and hazards; escort people or property as needed to ensure safety. Respond to alarms and dispatch calls; unlock buildings after verifying identification and compliance with policies. Enforce organizational policies (e.g., parking, badge compliance) and provide training to staff as needed. Act as first responder in emergencies (e.g., alarms, disturbances); maintain order and protect personnel and property. Interact with and manage potentially hostile individuals while following medical authority and hospital policy when restraints are needed. Assist law enforcement and security leadership with protection details, crowd control, and surveillance at large events; assist in security for mass casualty events including setting up decon equipment. Investigate and document incidents; maintain daily activity logs and relay information as directed. Complete required training and participate in in-services, including Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Techniques, Self Defense, quarterly firearms training, and annual firearms qualifications. Represent HonorHealth as a brand ambassador; greet patients/visitors/vendors/staff and foster positive relationships with community partners. Other duties as assigned. High School Diploma or GED - Required Associate's Degree or equivalent from a recognized college or trade school - Preferred Experience
10 years law enforcement experience with separation in “good standing”, or retired law enforcement - Required Certifications
Driver License – Required LEOSA Certified - Required Successful completion of the HH Armed Security Officer Training Program within 90 days of hire - Required Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association, 60 Days - Required Taser certification within 90 days of hire by HonorHealth Public Safety/Certified Taser Instructor - Required Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED Required Experience: 10 years law enforcement experience with separation in “good standing”, or retired law enforcement - Required Licenses and Certifications: Driver License Required; LEOSA Certified Required; HH Armed Security Officer Training Program within 90 days of hire Required; Basic Life Support (BLS) Required; Taser certification within 90 days of hire Required Seniority level
