Job Summary: We are seeking an energetic, entrepreneurial Sous Chef to support the successful operation of the culinary department at a facility. Based in Atlanta, GA, this position requires travel based on operational needs, with future relocation expected. There may be weeks without travel. The Sous Chef will assist in supervising, preparing, and cooking a variety of food items, developing and garnishing daily menu items, supervising hourly associates, and working alongside the Executive Chef to manage cost controls, ordering, and the implementation of new culinary programs. Key Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and overall expenditures for the account Participate in planning and creating menus Produce and execute catering events Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with the company’s marketing and culinary teams Qualifications
Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience, depending on formal training Catering experience preferred High-volume, complex foodservice operations experience strongly preferred Institutional and batch cooking experience helpful Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, with a strong focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost control, and presentation Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet tools Willingness to participate in client satisfaction initiatives ServSafe certification highly desirable Benefits
