Executive Recruiter | LHH | Accounting & Finance Services The Controller is responsible for overseeing key accounting operations to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal company policies. This role manages all core accounting functions, including billing, accounts payable, payroll, monthly account closings, and the preparation of financial reports. Additionally, the Controller will lead cash management efforts and support the company’s financial planning initiatives. Responsibilities
Lead the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate cost recording, journal entry review, account reconciliation, and report generation. Develop and refine accounting policies, procedures, and operational strategies; evaluate and implement process and system improvements. Drive continuous improvement in system efficiency and business practices. Collaborate with stakeholders across all levels to deliver timely and accurate month-end close and internal financial reporting, including annual reports. Maintain accuracy and scalability of the chart of accounts and general ledger; oversee transaction classification and booking. Recommend policy and procedural changes as needed; ensure compliance and implement fraud prevention techniques. Manage the preparation and compilation of data for tax filings. Provide variance analysis and feedback on financial statements relative to budget. Advise on financial and accounting processes to support strategic decision-making. Supervise and support a team of Accountants and Senior Accountants, fostering motivation and accountability. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 8–10 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a management role. Experience in the Behavioral Health sector is preferred. Proficiency in QuickBooks and data analytics tools. Strong leadership and team management skills. Benefits
