Master's Degree in Organic Chemistry or equivalent with 1-3 years of experience in the application of ssNMR Spectroscopy to structurally characterize pharmaceutically relevant small molecules. Requirements:

Background in solution NMR for structure elucidation is highly desired. Experience with solid-state NMR sample preparation, data acquisition, and interpretation of multinuclear NMR data is required. Experience with implementing and troubleshooting ssNMR experiments. Experience changing Bruker ssNMR probes is required. Basic understanding of molecular structure, inter-atomic distances, hydrogen bonding, torsion angle strain, hydrophobic and hydrophilic interactions. Experience in applying and interpreting ssNMR to study biological systems is a plus. Understanding of modern computational methods such as qm-DFT, Monte Carlo methods, etc. Knowledge of molecular modeling software (e.g., Gaussian, Schrodinger, Materials Studio, CCDC software). Familiarity with HPC clusters, Linux environment, and job submission programs. Experience collaborating with diverse teams and working independently. Experience with membrane protein samples is a plus. Excellent laboratory practices, safety, and sample integrity. Strong oral and written communication skills, organized, and efficient record keeping. Duties & Responsibilities:

Apply ssNMR spectroscopy to acquire and interpret data for molecular structure elucidation. Characterize pharmaceutical materials and guide drug development. Evaluate a broad range of materials, including APIs, biologics, excipients, and drug products. Apply quantitative ssNMR methods for component measurement. Use molecular modeling and predictive tools for 3D structural evaluation. Ensure data backup and retrieval. Plan and perform experiments independently. Stay current with scientific literature and design new experiments. Write protocols, methods, and reports; present findings internally. TechData is an equal opportunity employer.
