Roux . Position Overview: This position will assist the project team and Project Manager in providing field support, and technical assistance on environmental investigation and remediation projects. Responsibilities
Field Activities: Assists other technical staff in calibration of sampling/monitoring equipment, soil sampling, well installation, development and purging, groundwater sampling, vapor/indoor air sampling, remediation monitoring, and oversight. Project Assistance: Assists project team in preparation and review of data tables, soil boring logs, figures and other components of technical reports. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field. Typically requires 0-2 years of experience. Ability to safely perform various routine field activities including applying proper sampling techniques for all environmental media and overseeing and directing subcontractors. Exhibits strong work ethic, positive attitude, and general enthusiasm for the work. Entry level data evaluation and analytical skills. Physical Demands / Work Environment
This position works predominantly in the field at exterior project sites (industrial/brownfield facilities, monitoring wells, treatment systems, construction projects). Activities include sample collection, recording of parameters, and oversight of subcontractors (e.g., drillers, heavy equipment operators, truckers). Requires the ability to travel to different project sites, and to work outdoors in various terrains and weather, with occasional extended or irregular hours. May require lifting and carrying objects, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling and twisting. Office work is primarily sedentary and computer based. Roux is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000. This range may reflect in good faith what Roux believes it might pay at posting for this position and location. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications, skill sets, and internal equity. This position is eligible for performance bonuses based on individual job performance and firm profitability.
