As a long-term, non-permanent Eligibility Technician 2, you will provide eligibility and administrative support services for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants & Children (WIC). This position is responsible for determining the eligibility of participants for the WIC Program, which serves both the Fairbanks NorthStar Borough and Southeast Alaska. You will maintain email, provide services telephonically, review WIC applications, collect and compile required information for certification with the WIC Program, interpret and apply program policies and federal and state regulations, and authorize benefits to individuals or households who meet WIC eligibility factors. The incumbent will provide eligibility determinations and clerical support to the Midnight Sun WIC Program. The position is located at the Juneau Public Health Center, 3412 Glacier Highway. Some travel to other communities served by Midnight Sun WIC is possible, including Fairbanks and all of southeast Alaska. Who We Are Looking For

- Knowledge of filing, typing, data entry, records maintenance, and forms. Special Notice

Substitution:

Post-secondary education in fields such as sociology, social work, psychology, counseling, human services, vocational rehabilitation, developmental disabilities, behavioral sciences, business, public administration, or accounting may substitute for the required experience (undergraduate credits: 2.67 semester/4 quarter hours = 1 month). At the time of the interview, provide: Three professional references (one must be your current or most recent supervisor, if not already provided); Current performance evaluation, if available; A copy of academic transcripts (unofficial ok; include institution name/URL). Education and Foreign Education
