Assistant Professor of Architecture (Tenure-Track) at The City University of New York. The Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in architecture at the rank of

assistant professor . The field of specialty is architectural technology. The appointment is anticipated to commence in Fall 2026 and includes teaching, research, and service responsibilities allied with Spitzer's NAAB-accredited programs in architecture—a five-year Bachelor of Architecture degree and a three-year Master of Architecture degree. A record of multiple publications (books, articles, and/or reviews) or evidence of future scholarly excellence and productivity is required. The successful candidate must also be a dedicated teacher, demonstrating commitment to and experience in teaching the core curriculum in architecture, including design studios and the required construction technology sequences in the undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as elective seminars in architectural technology. Responsibilities

Teach the core curriculum in architecture, including design studios and the required construction technology sequences in undergraduate and graduate programs. Offer elective seminars in architectural technology. Engage in scholarly activity (publications, research or equivalent) and contribute to service activities within the department and university. Participate in committee and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications

NAAB-accredited M.Arch degree and a professional license to practice architecture or a doctoral degree in a relevant field. Ability to teach successfully and establish a record of scholarly achievement or demonstrable potential. Ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate design studios, lecture courses, and/or seminars in architecture and construction technology. Clear research agenda demonstrating disciplinary standards at the rank of assistant professor. Commitment to public higher education, diversity, and collaborative work; experience with design-build is preferred. Compensation
