The University of West Georgia (UWG) is seeking part-time, adjunct faculty to teach introductory geology lecture and laboratory courses for Geology majors and non-majors, and/or intermediate/advanced Geology courses depending upon specific qualifications.
Job Summary : The Geology Program is seeking part-time faculty to teach geology courses. Part-time faculty are critical to the mission of the Geology Program.
Responsibilities :
To teach introductory geology lecture and/or laboratory courses (e.g., GEOL 1121, 1121L, 1122, and 1122L).
To teach intermediate and advanced geology courses (e.g., hydrology) depending upon the applicant’s area of expertise and specific qualifications.
Required Qualifications :
Minimum of 18 graduate level course credits in geology or a geology-related discipline.
Candidates must provide information/references that support teaching effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications :
Master's or Doctoral Degree in Geology or related discipline.
Applications and credentials (e.g., M.S. in Geology or related discipline) should correlate with the specific areas of application.
Teaching experience in lecture and laboratory settings.
