As a Warranty Performance Lead, you will collaborate with Warranty Performance personnel, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and other stakeholders, engaging in crafting and executing net warranty reduction and cost recovery strategies. You will be part of a team providing background information, innovative approaches based on data analysis, and thoughtful presentations.
Description:
The Warranty Performance Lead strategizes and executes activities to reduce net warranty costs and recover expenses from initiation through case closure. This involves analyzing issues, developing strategies, and aligning cross-functionally. The role acts as a liaison between Purchasing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Product Investigations, Manufacturing, and suppliers to drive warranty reduction and cost recovery related to field actions. The candidate must demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and independent judgment. Key abilities include:
Locating, synthesizing, and visualizing cross-functional and supplier information.
Framing and driving strategies considering business implications.
Anticipating risks and opportunities throughout processes.
Communicating clearly via presentations, reviews, meetings, and discussions with senior leaders.
Removing roadblocks and escalating issues as necessary.
This position requires a high level of independent judgment and ingenuity, with the ability to work cross-functionally across various management levels.

Define cost recovery strategies, align with stakeholders, and lead execution. Act as a liaison with suppliers to establish responsibility sharing for warranty costs to facilitate recovery. Lead activities with Engineering and QRD teams for sample dispositions and engage Purchasing for commercial discussions. Perform Pareto analysis to identify recovery opportunities. Resolve disputes related to recovery, technical issues, and billing. Support transaction maintenance, track recovery results, and manage supplier debits. Manage warranty reduction initiatives, assess risks, and drive resolutions. Integrate stakeholder inputs, representing the cost recovery team. Maintain effectiveness in changing environments and regions. Qualifications:
2+ years of experience with a major automotive OEM or supplier. Strong results-driven mindset and leadership experience. Excellent framing and communication skills. Understanding of Purchasing, Engineering, and Finance. Preferred: ability to interpret warranty data. High analytical ability for complex problems. Excellent interpersonal skills for leading consensus. Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations. Additional Details:
