Position Summary The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays an essential role in supporting the YMCA’s mission of strengthening spirit, mind, and body for all. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position focuses on accounts receivable functions and collection efforts while ensuring a positive, supportive experience for our members and families. Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable, including account review, cash application, reconciliations, collections, invoicing, and issue resolution Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of transactions Coordinate weekly collection efforts across membership, programs, childcare, and camp; escalate concerns as appropriate Communicate discrepancies and recommend collection strategies to the Director of Finance Support program directors with receivables, registrations, and payment processing Help improve and streamline A/R processes, identifying opportunities for greater efficiency and member satisfaction Serve as Camp Enrollment Lead during summer programs, handling registrations, billing, cancellations, waitlists, and parent communication to ensure a positive camp experience Maintain accurate and organized receivables records Provide administrative and operational support as needed This role may have additional responsibilities and may evolve to leverage the strengths of the right candidate. Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred 3–5 years of relevant work experience Experience with Daxko or similar operating/accounting systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and maintain professionalism under pressure Exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with members, staff, and vendors YMCA Competencies
