Location:

Humansville, MO (Hybrid, with the ability to work onsite in Humansville occasionally.) Compensation:

Up to $150k (DOE) + Health Insurance + Stock Options + Up to 8% Discretionary Bonus About the Company Our client is a vertically integrated cannabis company operating 12 retail Dispensary locations in Missouri, with plans to continue to expand. With a cultivation and production facility in Humansville employing over 500 team members, the company is a leading operator dedicated to quality, innovation, and sustainable growth. About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee all accounting and finance functions within their growing organization. Based primarily at the Humansville facility, this individual will work directly with the CEO, CFO, and Retail leadership team. The Controller will play a key role in cost accounting, compliance, and operational streamlining for both retail and manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, HR, and compliance. Manage and mentor team members across finance and HR functions. Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports to the CEO and executive team. Ensure compliance with GAAP, 280E tax regulations, and state/federal cannabis laws. Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures. Partner with leadership to support business expansion, including retail growth and cultivation operations. Collaborate with external auditors, CPA firms, and tax advisors. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. Oversee cash flow management and operational accounting for both retail and manufacturing divisions. Qualifications Degree in Accounting or Finance required Prior experience working with CPA or auditing firms. Strong experience with QuickBooks Online. 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or controller role. Experience overseeing finance functions in both manufacturing and retail environments. Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with executive leadership.
