Overview

Roku is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Analyst to ensure accurate compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations. This role supports payroll operations by reconciling, filing, and remitting payroll taxes, maintaining compliance with changing tax laws, and assisting with audits. The Payroll Tax Analyst collaborates closely with payroll, finance, and HR teams to ensure employee tax records and employer obligations are handled accurately and timely. What you’ll be doing

Prepare, review, and file payroll tax returns for federal, state, and local jurisdictions through ADP Smart Compliance Ensure timely and accurate deposits of payroll taxes and wage garnishments Reconcile payroll tax accounts and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with payroll and accounting teams Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting payroll tax compliance Research and respond to tax authority notices, audits, and employee tax inquiries Lead quarter-end and year-end payroll tax activities, support W-2, and W-2c, and other required filings Maintain payroll tax system setups (e.g., tax codes, rates, agency requirements) Maintain state tax ID registrations (Includes username and passwords for state agency websites and fill out registration forms for SUI and state tax ids) Assist in process improvements, system testing, and payroll system upgrades related to tax functionality Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX controls, and internal audit requirements Payroll managers backup What you’ll have

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred Equivalent experience considered 5+ years of payroll tax or payroll operations experience Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations Mandatory experience with payroll systems (Workday and ADP Smart Compliance) Strong analytical and reconciliation skills Ability to interpret and apply payroll tax regulations Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills for working with employees and internal teams Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools Preferred qualifications

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus Experience with multi-state payroll tax compliance Experience in a large, multi-jurisdictional employer environment Benefits
