As a Senior Accountant, you’ll collaborate to deliver excellence and enjoy exposure to revenue recognition and cost management in a fast-growing environment. Key Responsibilities Of The Senior Accountant
Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and cash transactions. Review and analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy and GAAP compliance. Maintain, reconcile accounts, and perform bank reconciliations. Assist with budget variance investigations and explain findings to management. Cross-train and serve as backup for the Senior Job Cost Accountant. Review final closing statements (HUD/ALTA) and job cost summaries; explain variances. Reconcile construction loan accounts, maintain commission draw balances, and process payroll. Analyze revenue trends, prepare reports, and support dashboards and management reporting. Help develop accounting policies, procedures, and controls. Support audits with documentation, identify process improvements, and assist with related party rebills. Review accounts payable for accuracy and compliance. Collaborate with project managers, procurement, title companies, and auditors. Provide training to junior staff. Preferred Qualifications For The Senior Accountant
Bachelor’s in Accounting (CPA/public accounting experience a plus). 4–6 years in accounting, preferably in construction or homebuilding revenue recognition. Knowledge of GAAP, construction accounting, job costing, and percentage of completion. Experience with Sage, Timberline, Newstar, and JD Edwards. Advanced Excel skills with large datasets, pivot tables, and financial modeling. Benefits Of The Senior Accountant Role
