The Staff Accountant is responsible for processing and reviewing financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness. This role includes timely reconciliation of bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and general ledgers. The Staff Accountant will also review accounts for accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards, promptly resolving any discrepancies. Additionally, this position plays an active role in identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and improve financial processes.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting 1 to 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with reconciliation and/or accounts receivable exposure Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting/ERP systems (Sage Intacct or similar preferred) Licenses and Certifications: Current driver’s license with clear driving record and no restrictions Skills and Attributes: Sets example for living Core Values and Strategic Pillars Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines An exemplary level of expertise and a demonstrated use of high-level discretion and judgment in execution of duties Availability: This is a full-time position in the TNW Corporate office ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations, including bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and subsidiary ledgers Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP Maintain proper documentation and support for reconciliations to facilitate audit and review processes Assist with process improvement initiatives to streamline reconciliations and receivable functions Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Support external audits with schedules, reconciliations, and documentation Collaborate with other finance team members on ad hoc projects and reporting as needed Process customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner Record and apply customer payments to accounts, ensuring correct allocation Monitor outstanding balances, perform collection activities, and communicate with customers to resolve billing/payment issues Prepare aging reports and assist with cash flow forecasting related to receivables WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal working conditions for this position are in an office Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist to retrieve files, ledgers, and record books Must be able to regularly lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds with assistance The employee regularly works inside a well-lighted, climate-controlled office and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets
