The Principal National Account Manager (NAM) is responsible for the sales and margin growth goals of GE Appliances’ portfolio with Wal-Mart and Wal-Mart Marketplace, with a heavy focus on Small Appliances. The NAM will manage all aspects of the customer experience, increase sales and margin to achieve the assigned budgets, and collaborate with product, operations, and logistics teams to develop and execute a national account sales growth plan.
Essential Responsibilities
Sell and manage GE Appliances’ Wal-Mart product portfolio (e.g., Small Appliances, Room Air, and Countertop Microwave categories).
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within Wal-Mart to grow sales, including developing an in-store and .com sales plan and assortment.
Execute and achieve all sales and margin operating plans.
Develop merchandising and customer program strategies to drive profitable sales across product categories.
Lead the preparation and delivery of product line review content to communicate the GE Appliances value story and win new business.
Serve as a key customer advocate within GE Appliances for assigned customers.
Track and be accountable for sales metrics using available reporting and analysis tools.
Resolve customer issues in a timely and accurate manner.
Travel varies; expected for sales meetings with customers as needed.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college or equivalent sales experience.
Minimum of seven (7) years outside sales experience.
Proven analytical ability and demonstrated success in sales negotiations.
Desired Characteristics/Qualifications
Previous Appliances or National account selling experience.
Experience selling on ecommerce marketplaces.
Experience in developing and implementing National Sales growth plans.
Proven ability to build strong relationships and work cross-functionally with customers, management, and peers.
Proficient communication, presentation, organizational, and negotiation skills.
Motivated self-starter with a competitive drive.
