Primary duties include filing motions, scheduling depositions, and requesting medical records. PI experience at some point in the candidate’s career is preferred. Assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents (pleadings, discovery, case management orders, etc.)
Assist in scheduling and preparing for depositions, mediations, and trials, including sending notices and hiring court reporters/videographers
Obtain, organize, and maintain medical records, imaging, and bills
Efile in State and Federal Courts
Correspond with opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and clients
Coordinate and manage case schedules and meet deadlines
Qualifications
Proven experience as a litigation paralegal in a medical malpractice or personal injury environment is preferred (defense side candidates will be considered)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Familiar with discovery in personal injury cases
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications
