Workers compensation Attorney

Civil Litigation Defense Practice firm, seeks an experienced Workers’ Compensation Attorney to join our Huntington office. The ideal candidate will handle a caseload of NY workers’ compensation claims, defending employers and insurers in hearings, disputes, and appeals. This role requires strong litigation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Summary: The ideal candidate will handle a caseload of workers’ compensation claims, defending employers and insurers in hearings, disputes, and appeals. Key Responsibilities : Defend employers and insurers in NJ Workers’ Compensation Board hearings, mediations, and appeals. Manage a caseload from inception to resolution, including legal research, discovery, and motion practice. Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and appellate briefs. Negotiate settlements and strategize claims resolution with opposing counsel. Work closely with medical experts, investigators, and clients to build strong defense cases. Stay updated on NJ workers’ compensation laws, regulations, and eCase procedures. Qualifications: JD from an accredited law school and active NJ Bar license. 3-5+ years of workers’ compensation experience (insurance defense preferred). Strong legal research, writing, and negotiation skills. Ability to handle high-volume caseloads in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with NJ Workers’ Compensation Board e-filing (eCase) is a plus. Seniority level:
