Workers Compensation Defense Attorney-CA Remote This is a remote position with a top Workers' Compensation Defense and Civil Litigation Firm. Offices are in LA County, OC, SD, Central Coast, Inland Empire and Fresno. The role involves defending employers in workers' compensation cases and handling related civil litigation, fraud, insurance coverage issues, employment and labor law matters. Manage a caseload of workers' compensation cases from inception through resolution. Develop and implement defense strategies; conduct discovery; take and defend depositions; draft and argue motions; represent clients at hearings, mediations, and trials. Conduct legal research and provide analysis on issues related to workers' compensation, employment law, labor law, and insurance coverage. Handle all aspects of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and client representation in court. Investigate and defend against fraud claims. Advise clients on employment law issues, including wrongful termination, harassment, and ADA compliance. Assist in developing and revising employee handbooks to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations. Provide exceptional client service with timely updates and understandable legal advice. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals and support staff for efficient case management. Qualifications
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Admission to the California State Bar in good standing. Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers' compensation defense, civil litigation, or employment law. Proven track record defending clients in workers' compensation cases. Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws, civil litigation procedures, and employment laws. Experience with insurance coverage issues, fraud investigations, and labor law issues. Excellent legal research, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly. Ability to manage a high-volume caseload, meet deadlines, and work independently. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite. Equal Opportunity
