The Outside Sales team has been the face of DoorDash to our merchant partners since our founding in 2013. Stationed locally, this team creates deep partnerships with the most coveted local and regional restaurants in any given geography. Our Outside Sales team is the revenue driving arm of DoorDash and ensures the growth of our SMB partnerships which help strengthen operations, accelerate consumer growth, and improve our bottom line. About The Role
We are looking for a Growth Merchant Lead (GML) for Emerging Markets to join our Outside Sales team. As a Growth Merchant Lead (GML), you are responsible for winning new business across the US and contributing to the overall growth strategy of DoorDash. You will travel to emerging markets and manage a largely transactional deal cycle to drive new partnerships with the best local and regional restaurants. You will report into the Regional Sales Manager on our Outside Sales team where you’ll have direct access to all you’ll need to grow your career to the next level. This is a field sales role based in the specified cities above, that requires frequent travel to markets across the US. You will sell face to face at least 50% of the time, which includes travel by car or air and will include overnight stays and multi-day travel. You will also need the ability to travel as needed for in-person collaboration through trainings, offsite, team-building events, and other business-related necessities. You have 2.5+ years of experience in a full cycle closing role, ideally with field sales experience You have 1+ years of direct SaaS selling experience (selling into SMB) You have the willingness to travel at least 50% of the time to meet with restaurant owners You are efficient and strategic with inside and outside sales tactics to reach goals You have experience using a CRM (Salesforce) and Google Apps You have an entrepreneurial mindset and enjoy building strategies and playbooks for scalable success Experience working in or selling to restaurants is a plus Qualifications
2.5+ years of experience in a full cycle closing role, ideally with field sales 1+ years of direct SaaS selling experience (SMB) Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time Efficient and strategic with inside and outside sales tactics to reach goals Experience using a CRM (Salesforce) and Google Apps Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to build strategies for scalable success Experience working in or selling to restaurants is a plus Compensation
Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location. In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants and sales commission.
