Payroll Specialist
to join their team and support their growing workforce. Base pay range
$27.00/hr - $29.00/hr Position Overview
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for employees across multiple job sites. This role requires strong knowledge of construction payroll, prevailing wage requirements, and certified payroll reporting. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, deadline-driven, and experienced with union and non-union payroll processes. Key Responsibilities
Process weekly/biweekly payroll for field and office employees in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Handle prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting. Maintain accurate payroll records, employee files, and job classifications. Ensure compliance with union agreements, collective bargaining agreements, and labor law requirements. Reconcile payroll accounts and support audits as needed. Manage employee timecards, deductions, and garnishments. Partner with HR and accounting teams to ensure payroll accuracy and timely reporting. Answer employee payroll-related inquiries with professionalism and discretion. Qualifications
3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in the construction industry. Experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements is strongly preferred. Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar systems). Strong understanding of federal and state labor laws, wage & hour compliance, and payroll regulations. Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines. Benefits & Compensation
