Summary

Ambassadors are essential to Columbia Distributing's success in the Wine & Spirits division. An ambassador is responsible for advancing and securing beverage sales in the market, performing functions to secure new business accounts and facilitating the needs of the existing sales accounts. This is accomplished through territory planning, selling, education and communicating the achievement of company and supplier objectives. Primary Responsibilities

Accomplish sales and distribution goals by executing the monthly, quarterly and annual business plans and company initiatives Drives the success of the Wine & Spirits portfolio by partnering with suppliers and customers to execute commercial plans and develop key on-premise accounts Sell in distribution, menu placements, promotions, drink features, and back bar placements at key customers Function as a wine and spirits expert in creating programs, education and training for assigned accounts and interact with supplier leadership to prioritize and troubleshoot market activities Develop a customer business growth plan for each account and build a pipeline of selling opportunities to drive incremental sales above base business Analyze data and insights to increase sales, grow customer business, and better achieve objectives Regularly and consistently pre-plan account visits with an agenda, service purpose, and selling opportunities Build positive, credible, lasting customer relationships based on trust Be knowledgeable and experienced in all accounts staying current with what competitors are offering and how Columbia products are positioned relative to the competition Minimum visibility in assigned accounts must be equal to or greater than competition Complete all required training to improve performance and effectiveness Maintain a high level of industry knowledge: beer, non-alcoholic, food journals, trends, market share, etc. Submit all required reporting, preplans, trackers, surveys, market surveys (MVPs), expense report, mileage log, etc. by the required due date Key Competencies

This job operates in our accounts, mostly indoors with occasional outdoor work. Physical Demands

Lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs. Must be able to drive and operate a vehicle Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, days/hours of work vary, and may include weekends. Travel

Local travel only Required Education and Experience

High School diploma or GED required. WSET must be passed within one (1) year of start date Minimum two (2) years previous sales experience in beverage industry Valid driver's license and auto insurance required Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree preferred On Premise experience Compensation

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees are also eligible for 80 hours of vacation every year and 7-8 days of paid holidays throughout the calendar year (depending on location).
