PICU Clinical Pharmacist

Our Client is seeking a Residency Trained Clinical Pharmacist to join our 32-bed Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have completed PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency Training and have current Clinical Pharmacist experience in PICU or related area within acute care pediatrics/Children's hospital. Job Description: The position requires PGY2 Residency Training and involves working day shifts, Monday to Friday, 8 to 5, with flexibility to round with physicians and attend meetings. The on-call schedule includes one full week every 8 weeks, with coverage after hours and weekends for that full week. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Doctorate of Pharmacy degree; Completion of ASHP accredited pharmacy practice residency or fellowship or demonstration of equivalent experience preferred Licenses/Certifications: Licensure in State of Texas; Pharmacy Sterile Product certification through an in-house program or other accredited program if appropriate Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Ability to promote teamwork, build effective relationships, and to lead/facilitate work groups Strong customer service skills Knowledge of pharmacy and hospital computer systems and computer-assisted devices Familiarity with health care reimbursement environment We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
