Associate or Professor of Clinical Neurology (Division Chief of Neurology at CHLA)
The University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) seek to recruit an internationally recognized physician leader to serve as Chief for the Division of Pediatric Neurology. The Division Chief reports to the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and works closely with the other Division Chiefs. Candidates should qualify for appointment as Associate Professor or Full Professor and have an MD, DO, or MD/PhD or comparable degree and outstanding qualifications in clinical care, education, and research. The Division Chief will oversee the clinical, research, and educational activities of the Division, lead recruiting efforts, and ensure career mentoring for Division faculty and fellows. The Division currently has 26 full-time and 5 part-time faculty members, and 91 staff members, as well as an established Neurology Residency Program and Epilepsy Fellowship Program. CHLA serves a diverse patient population of approximately 2.5 million children in LA County and is a major referral center for critically ill infants and children in Southern California. Our Neurological Institute offers multidisciplinary, comprehensive services for disorders and conditions of the brain and mind. Strong administrative, clinical, research and financial support will be provided, including staff, infrastructure, endowments, and institutional resources.
