The Division of Neurology, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the Keck School of Medicine of USC are seeking an epileptologist as a full-time faculty member to join its current team of 28 faculty members. The ideal candidate will have experience in epilepsy surgery, LTM, CURRY software, stereoelectroencephalography and transcranial magnetic stimulation, as well as dietary therapies. Academic appointments through the Keck School of Medicine of USC are available at a level appropriate to training and experience. The division is expanding its comprehensive clinical general and sub-specialty child neurology programs and enhancing its research portfolio. The Neurologic Institute aims to offer comprehensive and integrated neurologic services in a patient-centered environment. The program supports a busy outpatient neurology clinic with subspecialty programs in neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, movement disorders, neuro-intensive care, pediatric stroke, neurocutaneous disorders and demyelinating disorders. Our epilepsy program includes a Level 4 epilepsy center with surgical resection, neuromodulation, ketogenic diet, ECoG-guided resections, stereo-EEG, EEG source localization and minimally invasive laser ablation, a large VNS program, pediatric RNS, and a robust pediatric epilepsy clinical trial program. Responsibilities also include participation in education, clinical service, and collaboration with associated epilepsy testing and genetics services within the division, as well as involvement with ACGME-accredited fellowship and residency programs as applicable. Compensation
The annual base salary range for this position is $95,904-$417,709. Salary offers consider scope and responsibilities, work experience, education/training, key skills, internal equity, laws, contracts, grant funding, and market considerations. Qualifications
Experience in epilepsy surgery, long-term monitoring (LTM), CURRY software, stereo-EEG, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and dietary therapies is preferred. Ability to engage in both research and clinical practice is valued. Location and Organization
CHLA is a busy urban teaching hospital serving a diverse patient population in Los Angeles. The division operates within the Neurosciences Service Line and collaborates with Neurology & Neurosurgery.
