Santa Barbara and Lompoc . This recruitment may also be used to fill future vacancies in the County Health Department. The classification title is Behavioral Wellness Team Supervisor – Practitioner. The selected candidate may need to travel between different sites within Santa Barbara County, including Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, Goleta, Lompoc, Los Olivos, Santa Maria, and Santa Ynez. The position involves providing administrative and clinical supervision for teams delivering assessment, treatment, and rehabilitative services to individuals with serious mental illnesses and co-occurring conditions. Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating staff training, providing direct treatment services, and offering professional consultation to community agencies and providers. Qualifications include possession of a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, with at least two years of post-licensure experience performing duties comparable to a Behavioral Wellness Practitioner II with Santa Barbara County, including lead or coordination responsibilities. This is a working supervisory role, distinguished from program management, with duties varying by department and work site. The work schedule depends on departmental needs. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of supervision principles, excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with electronic health records, and relevant clinical experience in mental health or substance use disorder services.
